Hibiscus Coast Naturists is a social group based in the Hibiscus Coast and Rodney District, Auckland, New Zealand. We are not a registered company or incorporated society; we are an informal community group of naturist enthusiasts.

6. How Long We Keep Your Information

We retain personal information only as long as it is needed for the purpose it was collected:

  • Enquiries (non-members): contact form submissions are retained for up to 12 months after the last contact, then deleted.
  • Members: membership records are retained for the duration of your membership and for up to 3 years afterwards, in case of future enquiries or legal obligations.
  • Event records: attendance records may be retained for up to 2 years for safety purposes.

7. Sharing Your Information

We treat all member and enquirer information with strict confidentiality. We do not sell, rent, or trade personal information. We will not share your personal information with third parties except in the following limited circumstances:

  • With your explicit consent
  • Where required by New Zealand law or a court order
  • Where necessary to protect the safety of you or others

We do not share member lists with other naturist organisations, including the NFNZ, without individual consent.

8. Your Rights Under the Privacy Act 2020

The New Zealand Privacy Act 2020 gives you the right to:

  • Access the personal information we hold about you
  • Request correction of any personal information that is inaccurate or incomplete
  • Request deletion of your information (where we have no legal obligation to retain it)
  • Be informed of how your information is used
  • Lodge a complaint with the Office of the Privacy Commissioner
